Bliss & Bear is a boutique event company, specialising in one-of-a-kind picnic experiences and catering. Born out of a deep love of the South Coast, good local produce and even better wine, we are passionate about showcasing the beauty of the region to visitors and locals alike, with our intimate setups and picnic catering.
We believe that expert styling with the perfect mix of eclectic hire items and gorgeous food, either grazing stations, tables or boxes, is the best way to steer away from the traditional event set-up and create an event that is truly for you- unique, unforgettable and EASY!
As lovers of the environment, we promote hire not purchase. We do our best to used recycled materials and are proud to say that most of our hire items are second hand or custom made from recycled materials!
Our service implements bespoke pop-up picnics for any occasion that can be customised depending on your needs; from DIY hire to complete set up/ pack down by our expert team! Mitch and Jess discovered their love for creating special events after their magical wedding in a Tuscan inspired villa on the NSW mid-north coast. After hearing that their guests thought their wedding was 1 of a kind, Jess and Mitch started creating wedding ceremony magic in their home region on the South Coast and in the Southern Highlands of NSW.
Mitch was handy on the tools and brought the muscle and Jess was the creative mind, designing signature pieces and consulting with newly engaged couples on their ceremony vision. One of their biggest accomplishments was having their work was published and names in Hello May Magazine as a part of their real-life Wedding section.
Soon after this amazing milestone, Covid hit and, like many small businesses, things changed dramatically. Many of their clients required refunds and rescheduling and things got very quiet for some time.
Jess and Mitch took this time to reevaluate their business goals and made the decision to pivot their business, as they saw a gap in the market. Their small wedding business soon rebranded into what you see today, Graze & Co, and while they still do the occasional wedding, now they spend their time creating events of a different kind. Bespoke picnics and pure grazing bliss!
